Event registration is available now. Summer Reading Program registration and reading logs will be available Tuesday, June 1. 

Do you have any scratched or unreadable DVDs, Blueray discs, CDs, or Video Game discs? For the first time in Lancaster County, patrons can have their discs cleaned professionally. Instead of throwing away and repurchasing that optical media you can now bring it into the library and have it cleaned with the new, state of the art, disc cleaning and repair equipment. This commercial grade process is used by many DVD and game rental stores to restore damaged discs. All you need to do is bring in scratched (not cracked) CDs, DVDs, game discs, and computer application discs and our specially trained volunteers will carefully resurface them to like-new condition.   

The cost to repair discs is $4 per disc, or 3 discs for $10. This is a bargain when most new DVD and CD replacements cost over $15 and Blueray, video game, and computer replacement discs cost over $30. Another benefit is that the cleaning/repair fees go to support the purchase of new DVDs and CDs for the Manheim Township Public Library collection.

The library just announced the release of a new online language learning service for library patrons of Manheim Township. Mango Languages is an online language-learning system teaching actual conversation skills for a wide variety of languages. It's the easiest way to learn a foreign language! You'll learn more than grammar, vocabulary and conjugation, you'll learn how to communicate.

Program Registration is now available online for all programs. You can register for any library program by clicking on the Calendar Button at www.mtpl.info. Some of the new features include:

The Manheim Township Public Library has reduced hours of operation on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Due to the more than 20% reduction in state aid, many libraries through the county have had to reduce hours.

The new hours effective January 1, 2010 are:

Monday-Tuesday	10:00 a.m - 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday	10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Thursday	10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Friday	10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Thursday	10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday	9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sunday	Closed
