The City of Modesto has released an initial study/mitigated negative declaration for the Municipal Groundwater Improvement Project.The Project proposes to construct five aquifer recharge basins and accompanying water conveyance support structures in order to improve wellfield optimization and reduce contaminant levels of arsenic, nitrate, and uranium in the City.
