JCPL Kids

The Summer Reading Club will officially begin on June 1st! Our Kids Program theme this year is Dream Big Read. Don’t forget to sign up, either at the library or online, and then pick up your coupons for starting at any library location. Babies through age 12 can participate in the Kids Summer Reading Program. On June 1st you can begin recording the hours you read each day online or using your paper tally sheet.

When you’ve finished reading eight hours, come in and see us for even more coupons, get entered into a drawing to win a Kindle Fire, and keep up the good reading! The program will end July 31st, and when it’s finished you’ll be able to pick out a free book to keep at your location’s Book Award Day.  Being read to by parents and siblings, coming to storytimes, and listening to audiobooks can be counted as reading time too.

Also, don’t forget to come to our fantastic programs throughout the summer! We’ll have everything from comedians to magicians to pigs that do tricks! You can check on the dates and times of these programs for each location by downloading the schedule of events.
