When notorious party girl Wendy Geller is found dead in Central Park, few of her classmates at an elite Manhattan private school are surprised. After all, Wendy made a habit of going after the wrong guys, and there's no shortage of suspects in her murder. While almost everyone is willing to dismiss Wendy as a wild child, her old friend, Rain, is one of the few people who remembers her kindness, and Rain soon becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to Wendy. The Girl in the Park is a suspenseful page-turner with great characters and a keen eye for the social pressures of high school.
