Don't miss the "Goodbye for Now" event at Lakewood Library
The Lakewood Library at 10200 W. 20th Avenue is closing June 4-Aug. 23 for much-needed renovations – the first in 30 years. Join Lakewood Library staff for our “Goodbye for Now” closure event, 1-4 p.m., Wednesday, May 30. We’ll supply the refreshments, you bring the memories. Find more information in the May newsletter. Be sure to visit one of our other library locations this summer. The Arvada, Belmar and Golden libraries are offering additional programs to accommodate Lakewood patrons.

Boy do I feel old -- I was 10 when the Lakewood Library at 20th street opened and I remember it like it was yesterday! How could we both be 30 years older? The library before that was in the shopping center off of Youngsfield. Can't make the closure event, but cherish the memories. I take my kids now to the Standley Lake and Arvada libraries.. and I'm pursuing my master's in libray and information science - It all started at the Lakewood library :)

I didn't realize what a part of my weekly routine the library is until I faced going all summer without it!
