Lakewood Library patrons will have something to look forward to after the Labor Day holiday - the library will once again be open!
Over the summer, the Library completed major upgrades to the building, including:
- Replacement of the nearly 40-year-old heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system;
- Updates to make the library more energy efficient;
- A new teen area; and
- Relocation of the circulation workroom and book drop.
To celebrate the reopening, on Sept. 6 from 4-6 p.m., teens will have the chance to tour the new Teen Area, participate in crafts and enjoy a screening of the movie Avatar in the meeting room following crafts.
A celebration for everyone will be held Saturday, Sept. 10 with refreshments and fun.
We look forward to seeing you!
