You’ve probably noticed some work going on around the entrance to the
Columbine Library. Last year, our much-loved linden trees began showing signs of stress. Concerned, we consulted the Library’s arborist who informed us that the sidewalk vaults in front of the library will not sustain healthy trees. Unfortunately, this means the trees have to be removed, the sidewalk vaults need to be closed and the sidewalk restored in front of the library. We expect to complete the work in May.
We regret the loss of our trees, but our first priority is always the safety of our patrons and employees. We hope you understand and thank you for your support.
