Now that's gross!
Get the slimy, dirty, yucky truth about how animals and insects act while adapting to their environment and reacting to danger. The program, for children ages 6 and up, is called: A Dose of Gross: Animal Oddities. Prepare to get down and dirty because it includes hands-on activities. Funding for this Knott's Kids program is provided by the Library Foundation. The program coming to your Jefferson County Public Library is linked to the Animal Grossology Exhibition at The Wildlife Experience in Parker, Sept. 27-April 26, 2009.

Attendance is limited to 40 people. Free tickets are required and available at libraries. Remaining dates and locations include:

Wheat Ridge Library
4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29

Standley Lake Library
4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13

Have you participated in A Dose of Gross? How gross was it?
