It’s that time of year again! The Friends of the Jefferson County Public Library is once again hosting the famous Whale of a Used Book Sale Oct. 23-26 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. More than 95,000 books, DVDs, CDs, records, audiotapes and videos will be up for grabs at what is one of Colorado’s largest used book sales.
Hardbound books are $2.25; paperbacks - $1-$2; DVDs - $2.50; and many audiotapes and records are just 50 cents. Get videos and CDs for a dollar, maps for 25 cents and find great children’s books for 50 cents to $1.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Thursday, Oct. 23 is a special free preview night for Friends members and will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friends memberships are available at the preview night or at any Library in advance of the sale.
