Jefferson County Public Library held its fifth annual InSight & InPerson Distinguished Author Series Sept. 24 at the Belmar Center. This year, the Library welcomed critically acclaimed author Anne Lamott. The best selling author has penned many works of both fiction and nonfiction, including
Grace (Eventually),
Operating Instructions,
Blue Shoe, Crooked Little Heart and
Bird By Bird.
More than 800 people were charmed by Lamott’s presentation, which was followed by a question-and-answer session and a book signing. Fans were delighted to take part in a no-holds-barred, yet humorous conversation with the popular author.
New this year was InDepth, which was held during the pre-event reception and allowed guests to attend a live interview with Ms. Lamott. During the interview she had her audience both laughing and crying.
Borders was on hand selling books by the author and donated 20 percent of sale proceeds to the Jefferson County Library Foundation.
Did you attend this year’s InSight & InPerson? Do you have a particular author you’d be interested in seeing in the future? We’d love to hear from you!
