Find out what's involved in making an audio book
Have you ever wondered how an audio book gets made? Now’s your chance! Find out how long it takes, what happens if the reader has to pronounce words from another language…or even another planet!

Mark Haley, national account manager for Recorded Books, and Johnny Heller, a professional narrator, actor, comic and writer, will explain the process for making a recorded book. Not only that, Heller also will narrate live for the audience!

1 p.m. and 7 p.m. - Wednesday, July 9 at the Lakewood Library

Mr. Heller is the 2005 recipient of the Audie award and has narrated the titles Marley and Me and Aristotle and an Aardvark go to Washington: Understanding Political Doublespeak through Philosophy and Jokes.

Free tickets are required and are available at the Lakewood Library prior to the program.

This is in response to the comment by Barb. Unfortunately, at this time there are no plans to offer this program. However, that doesn't mean the Library won't bring Mark Haley and Johnny Heller back at some point in the future. Make sure to regularly check our monthly newsletter for information about all the programs JCPL offers!
