The Friends Bookstore at Belmar Library is a great place to shop for gifts - and it's not only books! Cool mugs and other fun stuff to bibliophiles can be found there - and the Friends Bookstore is even open on Sundays for the next month to make it easier for everyone to shop.

In response to kls345's questions: Since your card is lost, you will need to stop by the Checkout/Accounts Desk at any Jefferson County Public Library location. Our staff will be happy to help you get a new library card. Regarding your question about where to find Library FAQs, under the “My Library Account” tab on the Library’s home page, you’ll find information about getting a library card, reserving a computer, placing online holds and more. You can find additional information about the Library by clicking on the “Library and Community Info” page, then clicking on “Library Info.”

Children's magazine subscriptions make wonderful gifts that will delight all year. Take a look at the children's magazines in your local library to find one that would work for your child. At the Columbine Library, we have a box of subscription forms that you can have. Ask a children's librarian at another branch if you can tear out a form from the magazine you wish to order. I'm sure he or she will help you.

Hi Barb, I hope you were able to visit the Holiday Book and Gift Boutique at the Golden Library. You can often find a good selection of CDs and videos.

Wow, I just discovered that I can buy books through the library website and contribute to the Friends of Jefferson County Public Library at the same time! I wanted to read The Kite Runner before I see the movie, but it has 150 holds on it ... then I saw The Friends of the Library Bookstore icon on the right side of the page, and I can get the book in a couple of days, and support childrens literacy with my purchase! This is a great new service - thanks Friends.
