Speak to Me of the Sky
speak to me of the sky

tell me what the stars mean
when they whisper to you
while you sleep beneath them

how the sun
in its
swooping
streaking
scorching
journey
makes you dizzy at heart

tell me the colors that bleed
as it gouges out the horizon
and burrows its way to the other side
nestles there

and is born again
in fire and blood
tell me how it screams

give me the words
that scatter
across the dome of your mind
and paint it in shades
that cannot be found in a brush

I am miles
and miles
from where you are
looking at the same sky

but I see it through the warped glass
of different eyes

so tell me about your sky

Without You
Without you dear, to hold so near
I feel lost in the eternity of people
Swaying to and fro, I’ll never know
Where I’m supposed to go

Nobody's There
I think about you
You don't think about me
You don't know I'm here
But I know you're there
Everywhere you go
You will never know
I'm here and you're there
I never met you
I don't know who you are
But we needed you
You couldn't see that far
I guess you didn't need us
That's all right
But we needed you
You ran away
Even if you were bad
You were a dad
I can't believe you didn't see that
I guess you're just like that
It breaks my heart hearing about you
Why did you leave?
Didn't you want to see your family?
I guess not
That's ok
It's better now
But you shouldn't have run away

My True Home
I am Lost in the woods
The snow glistens in the trees
And the cold wind blows on my hood
Though I am physically trapped, I am free
Could it be that I am not really lost?
As I stumble in the white powder
The gurgling of a river rang in my ear.
I walked until I reached the rivers outer.
I felt an essence of home, it felt so near.
All I wanted was to be home, no matter the cost.
I sat down by the cold river side
And closed my eyes so I could pray
To the snow, water, earth and tide
Because that is the Spiritual way.
The coldness of the air slowly made me slip away
When I awoke I was surprised at what I had to learn
I had being living my life with only material possessions
While I thought it was great, it was going to turn.
I had to walk away, like a grand procession .
I must pride myself on the choice I made today.
I learned that one doesn’t know what is life
Until they live off where came life from.
I shall live here for years without any tools, not even a knife.
I might die from things like an empty tum,
But I will die knowing that I wouldn’t end up in a catacomb.
Many long years past and I grew weak with age.
I took a final journey to the river that opened my eyes
I have now gained enough knowledge to be a sage.
I sat down by the riverside and got ready to die.
But I was ready because I knew this was my home.

Footprints in the Snow
Foot prints in the snow
Who made them I’ll never know
Why would one go out like that in the cold
Oh I certainly hope it wasn’t someone old
I would think that all they could think about is the chill.
It must have taken them a bit of will.
Did their toes turn blue?
Or some unnatural hue?
And if they don’t heat them,
Their count of toes might be slim.

What are sisters for?
A bloodcurdling scream
Is it a dream
It came from my sister's room
Something she needs I assume
Standing on her desk
looking totally grotesque
Pointig at a spider
Posing beside her
As big as a chair
With fangs like a bear
A body ready for battle
Huge eyes like lost cattle
Battle cries echoed
Unmistakenly in attack mode
Eight muscular legs, ready to jump
My brain starts clicking, " I have a trump"
Hey sis, for 5 bucks I can be your hero
You can stand here forever or let me deliver the deathblow
She agreed to the deal
All you heard was a squeal
One little splat
And the spider was dead
I'm 5 dollars richer
And always there to help my sister

Willy, My Beta Fish
My fish Willy
Acts kind of silly
He is as shy as a mouse
He hardly ever leaves his house
When he sees other males
He puffs up his scales
Like a humangous whale
100ft from head to tail
With fangs like a bear
Everyone be aware
Of my scary beta fish
who lives in a glass dish
He may act kind of mean
But he is as sweet as a jelly bean.

River's Song
Swiftly flowing over the rocks
the river sings to me
a song of sorrow,
a song of joy,
the cool swift currents,
tumble on it's way
it's crystal clear waters
carry the melodies of time
the gentle waves softly whisper
the river's song

Painter
She can paint a pretty picture, but this story has a twist.

Her brush is her razor and her canvass is her wrist.

Fight
Fight

I fight.

I fight for what I do.

For what I have.

I fight.

Fight to be happy.

To survive without the ones I love.

I fight.

Fight to help people out.

To show I care.

To show I have feelings.

I fight.

Do you?

Do you fight for what you do

For what you have?

Do you?

Do you fight to be happy

To survive without the ones you love?

Do you?

Do you fight to help people out

To show you care

To show you have feelings?

Do you?

Mom
Mom.
When will you come home?
Come hug me again?
When will you be living here?
I miss you mom.
All the laughs we shared.
All the things you told.
The things we did.
Mom.
I miss you.
Miss you more then any words can be said.
The tears we shared.
The way you helped me out.
Dad could never take your place.
No one could.
Mom.
You have been gone for little over a year.
I can’t wait until you return.
Until your better.
That would be the day.
They day I won’t pretend.
I won’t have to pretend nothing is wrong anymore.
Because…
You will be here by my side.
Mom.

Faceless
Faceless
I’M Faceless…
You never see me in the halls.
You never see me called on…
You never see me go…
You never see me come.
I’m Faceless…
You don’t know my name.
You never heard of me…
You never looked.
You never saw…
You never cared…
I’m Faceless
You never see me cry.
You never see me happy.
You never see me mad.
You don’t see me because of the fact
I’m always gone
Always hidden
Always away from the crowd…
You never see me because……….
I’m Scared.
I’m scared of no one liking me.
I’m scared to talk.
I’m scared to move…
I’m scared of people looking at me…
Because………
I’m…….
Faceless….

Friendships
Friends, they come and go. Feelings they may or never show. Some may make you feel aglow. “Friends” make you seem way below. Problems you can undergo. But sometimes, they help you oversee and go.

Fake friends make you feel low. All they do is put on a show. In times of need, true friends help you get up to speed. You can trust that they’ll never leave. At times, the best thing for you to do is just believe.

Your so called “friends” they will deceive. You may think that it’s to conceive. In the end, all that’s left is for you to grieve! For these, all you can be sure of is that they’ll leave.

Snow is Gone
It's as white as clean paper,
and as beautiful as a flower.
It comes once a year,
only for a little while.

But as I look up in the sky,
snow isn't coming right now.
It's the middle of January,
and not a single flake has gone by.

The teachers told us this might happen,
that one day there would be no more snow.
That's because of us humans,
we warmed up the Earth.

But,one thing can be remembered about winter.
I keep pictures of snow on my wall,
and pray that snow will come back.
It has been fifteen years since snow last fell, but I won't give up hoping.

Snow is gone, the world is diminishing.
But I have high hopes you see.
I know that I will see snow again,
and it will be real, not in pictures.

When I Close My Eyes
 When I close my eyes

I see good, not evil

I don’t see crimes

Just peace

That’s what I see when I close my eyes

When I close my eyes

I believe that there is no abuse

No neglect

Just happiness

That’s what I believe when I close my eyes

When I close my eyes

I dream of heaven

I believe that there is no pain

No hate

When I close my eyes , all I see is love.

A Beautiful World
Horses galloping around the bend,
Moving gracefully as they send,
Dust moving in wirlwinds.

Flowers slowly opening, while
Colors paint themselves on petals,
To make them look so bright and perky.

The wind moving through the trees,
And making leaves fall,
So that they can rustle along the ground in
The refreshing breeze.

So much beauty is in our world
And it is truely
Too priceless to waste
On staying inside and being moody.

A Night Lullaby
Flowers bloom in the evening,

            Owls frolic in the night.

Trees sway to their lullaby,

            Wolves howl their mourning cry.

Bushes rattle through soft, broken wind,

            Rabbits huddle in their den.

The forest sleeps its very own dream,

The smell of dew enters sweet.

Crackling fires can be heard,

Men of skin lie wake in turn.

Countless dreams are sent within,

            Til morning comes alit again.

Hand Me That There Doo-hingy
“Red nuts, green nuts,
Romax connectors”
Was this his answer,
To my puzzling question?

All of those things,
Those tiny odd things,
There are some right here,
Even more over there!

What are they called?
What can they all do?
These are some questions,
That may puzzle me and you.

But I know one,
Who has great knowledge
He’s a wise man of,
Electrical Pursuits.

Older is he,
With a kind face too
He may play a game,
When we don’t know what to do.

Surely it’s true!
That no other can be:
So special a man..
….

Why it is he!
Grandfather be he!
Next time I will ask,
When these things puzzle me!

Rain Rain Rain
Rain, rain, rain did you have to stay?

I was going outside to play today.

Until you came and ruined my fun,

I guess I’ll have to wait for the sun.

But do you know what I learned in class?

I learned that rain is good for the grass.

It helps it grow and stay so clean,

That in the morning it is so green.

So, I guess that rain is fine today,

But just not when I’m going to play.
