Someone Like You (Rated 5.0)

This is a very good book about 2 girls named Halley and Scarlett. They have been best friends almost forever. Halley has been the shy one and Scarlett outgoing. Halley has always turned to Scarlett for help and Scarlett knew what to do. But late one night while Halley was at camp, she got a phone call from Scarlett saying her boyfriend,Michael, died in a motorcycle accident. Halley came home the next day. They went to his funeral. things were going rough for the girls. Then one day Scarlett found out she was Carrying Michael's baby. Things went downhill from that. Scarlett's mom insisted she get rid of the baby but scarlett doesnt want to. She gets weird looks from kids at school, and her boss says she should quit til she has the baby. But scarlett stays strong. The only problem is Halley has always turned to scarlett for help and now Scarlett needs her more than anything. Halley starts hanging out with a new boy and sneaking off in the night and cutting school. Everyones having a rough time. Then at prom night, Scarlett gets some news. She is ready to have the baby. Prom night is ruined but scarlett has her baby and its a girl and she names it Grace. This book is a heart pounding reader. It involves love and action. I wouldnt reccomend this book to anyone young because it has a message about sex before marriage.

90 minutes in heaven (Rated 4.5)

In this book, the author, Don Piper (with Cecil Murphey), writes about his story of how he had died, gone to heaven, and returned back to earth in 90 minutes. Later in the book he talks of the experiences that he shares with other people and how sharing his story to those people showed them that what they are going through was nothing in comparison to what he had went through. In the beginning, Don talks about how his life had changed in a matter of seconds. Don's story begins in January 1989 in Texas. Don was leaving a meeting, and had the choice of going down two different highways, where he normally goes down Highway 59, but instead chose to go down Gulf Highway (not completely sure of if that is what it was called) instead. There on Gulf Highway, he met a semi-truck (the semi had belonged to the prison, and the guards asked for volunteers to drive it) which drove right over his car. A couple that he was with at the meeting, had heard of Don's accident, and because of the back-up traffic, had hurried to see Don. There God had told him (the male in the couple, not sure of his name) to pray for Don, and for Don not to have any internal injuries or brain damage. During the time that Don was dead, in the book, he tells us of all the experiences of heaven. Once Don had miraculously been brought back to earth, he was taken to the hospital. There he spent almost 2 years of his life recovering. Don was also one of the few first people to have the Ilvaris (not sure of the spelling) frame, so that he will be able to have a normal leg again. Later in the book, Don talks of his experiences with teens, adults, and even his own kids (at that time-boy twins both age: 8, and his daughter age: 13), and how his story had impacted all of their lives. Don was aired on T.V. multiple times, and over-all says that his story helped change even his own life, and millions of other people.

Eclipse (Rated 5.0)

One word to describe Eclipse. Phenomonal. Eclipse is the third book in the Twilight Saga, and it is amazing. Edward has come back after the barren time Bella had in New Moon, and they are once again inseperable. However, throughtout this book Bella also has Jacob. Her best friend and werewolf who has stronger feelings for her than she has for him, and he intends for her to know his feelings. All this is happening as the date of graduation is looming in the very near future. Bella must decide between her best friend and her soon to be husband. But who will she choose? I would recomend Eclipse to anyone from about age twelve and up. It probably appeals more to females, but if any guys want to read it more power to him. So, in short, Eclipse is a terrific book that is great for everyone to read.

Eclipse (Rated 5.0)

I think this book was excellent. It is a great book for anyone who enjoys very unrealistic fiction and that is also a more mature reader. Stephenie Meyer is the author of Eclipse and she in my mind did a fantastic job on this book. She used such great description and this story always caught me off guard. Every chapter I read left me wanting to read more. The "one" good think I will mention about this book was the amount of imagination she put into it. This fictional book was about characters that have very unique qualities. Stephenie Meyer must have one of the best imaginations ever to be able to write a series about such an amazing fake topic. When I read it I felt like every thing I heard was real. She makes her readers believe what she says is true and that shows just how confident and good her story is. The one bad think I'll mention about this book is that it leaves you waiting for the fourth book of this series that now I must wait for. Until the day it finally arrives in my hands I'll just be waiting, wondering what will happen in the fourth book, Break Dawn.

The baby sitters club: Maryanne saves the day (Rated 5.0)

This book is about four girls who love to babysit. their names are Claudia, Maryanne, Kristy and Stacey. They meet at claudia's house three times a week. There there clients call them and reach four babysitters at once and dont have to make too many calls. Well at one meeting Claudia answered the phone and it was their favorite client. The client wanted someone who would help take care of their new baby. Everyone was thrilled. but instead of finding who was avaliable, Claudia just took the job. Everyone was mad. So that got started in a fight. They each called each other names and left Claudia's house in a huff. Maryanne wanted the fight to be over and tried to talk to her best friend Kristy. But Kristy made her little brother slam the door in her face. Plus Maryanne made a new friend named Dawn. One time Maryanne was babysitting this one girl and while she was reading her a book, she fell asleep and Maryanne couldnt get her to wake. (plus her head was very hot) So she took her temp. and it was 104! So she tried calling all the numbers on the fridge but nobody was answering. She didnt know what to do so she called Dawn. Dawn came over and they got a ambulance. The girl had strep. The little girl's mom said she was brave. The girls made up after that and Dawn became a member in the club. This book was very good and it teaches babysitters what to do in a terrible situation. On the other hand it probably scares them.

Breathing Underwater (Rated 5.0)

This book was a very good book if you want to see how real life is as a teenager. In this book there is a boy who has to go to court because of abusing his girlfriend, but what no one knows is that he is being neglected by his father. The boy failed to tell anyone about his problem so therefore that created more problems. There was one quote I could say relate to this book, being: " Hurt people, hurt people" meaning that if we do not do something about the hurt we are going through we might find ourselves hurting others. I thought this was a very good life lesson story. Something I liked about this book was that some of it was written journal style which really puts you in the mind set of this teen boy. The only bad thing about the book is that the ending isn't very realistic but still is very good. This is one of the best books I have ever read.

Nana (Rated 5.0)

Nana is a comic about two girls named Nana who meet and decide to live together and one of them is in a band and both of them have alot of problems and its kinda like a soap opera but with Punk cartoon characters. The art is fantastic but sometimes the storyline kinda get boring and too predictable.

Grand Theft Auto IV (Rated 5.0)

Grand Theft Auto IV is a really fun game where u are a russian who just came to america to try and be somebody and start a new life. he lives with his cousin roman for a while helping him with his taxi company. he ends up being a hitman for anyone who pays or he feels like helping. its a sandbox game meaning that you dont have to follow the story line u can roam around town and do whatever u want usually stealing cars and killing people for fun getting chased by cops and doing stunts with cars.the bad thing is that young kids should not play this game because of the blood violence language and sexual scenes. the goal of the game is to do all of the missions , make friends with your clients by taking them to play pool or darts whatever really. the good thing about the game is u can do whatever u want with vitualy no conciquences the cops come after u but u can either use a cheat or just get caught/die and then come alive again and just lose your weapons and some money. also it is fun because everything is so realistic.
