"Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone" by J. K. Rowling
Rating: Excellent! (5)
Read the first book that started the worldwide phenomenon! You have probably seen the movies, but have you read the Harry Potter books? Trust me, they are worth the read. Harry Potter thought he was a normal boy in a normal house in a normal town. Not the case! Strange things always seem to happen around him, magical things. Letters begin arriving from nowhere, and he is invited to a school of wizarding and magic. But little does he know the danger that awaits him. For Someone-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is after his life. With the help of two new friends, Harry must unravel mysteries, fight danger, and....try to keep up with his homework. Full of humor, adventure, action, and mystery, the first book in the Harry Potter series will keep you glued to its pages.

This collection of 7 tapes takes you through Hannah's story, revealing 13 reasons why she committed suicide. Although this seems like a somewhat creepy book, it is probably one of the best books I've ever read.
In this book, placed in the future, Tally must decide whether to undergo a procedure to make her pretty. Everyone is considered an "ugly" until they undergo the procedure. Alex Rider thought he knew his uncle, Ian Rider. But in reality he hardly knew him at all. When Ian Rider gets killed in a car crash, Alex is immediately suspicious of his cause of death. Alex is proved right when he discovers bullet holes in the car. Why would anyone want to kill a bank worker? Well, maybe Ian Rider wasn't a bank worker at all. Maybe he was actually a spy for Britain's secret intelligence agency. Alex is only mildly surprised when he learns this, although, he is very surprised when he learns the same agency wants to recruit him in a dangerous mission only he can complete.... Complete with thrilling scenes, action, mystery, and adventure, Stormbreaker is an exciting book that I highly recommend.

Deep and Dark and Dangerous By: Mary Downing Hahn Book review by: Rayann Rehwinkel Would you say yes or no if your aunt asked you to go to Maine with her for the summer but your mom refused to let you go? In this story Ali goes to Maine with her aunt, Dulcie, and cousin, Emma. While there Ali discovers some unusual things. Ali and Emma meet a little girl on the beach, Sissy. Sissy seems to hate Ali, but is this really the case? Along the way Ali discovers some things about her mother and aunt's past that you would never believe. If you like mystery, suspense, and good writing then this book is for you. I really enjoyed this book, but I would not recommend it to people who are scared easily or think monsters live under their bed. I would also like to say, DON'T read this book at a cabin by a lake, because it gives you a very eerie feeling. Trust me, I made that mistake! I really hope you enjoy this book as much as I did, happy reading!
