Deuce has strived to become a Huntress for her enclave ever since she was a small brat. When she earns the six scars showing her status, however, she gets more than she can bargain for. Discovering that a nearby enclave has been destroyed by monstrous creatures called "Freaks," she must team up with her fellow Hunter, Fade, to persuade the elders of the new danger. The elders, however, refuse the warnings and exile Deuce and Fade. Even so, Deuce's troubles are just beginning.
