Bad Girl in Town by RealBuzz Studios

Rating: Good (4)

This graphic novel draws you into the troubles of the teen Serenity, who is anything but her name. Serenity's had trouble with plenty of schools, and there's no guaranty she'll get much more mercy from the teachers and students at the new highschool she attends. But the members of the local prayer club prove to be more of a challenge then Serenity ever expected. I say this is a really good story, and hope you'll enjoy it.

From Far Away by Kyoko Hikawa

Rating: Excellent! (5)

From Far Away by Kyoko Hikawa

Noriko had no idea what was about to happen to her. After a ball goes flying from it's owner, it hits a paper bag. When Noriko picks up the ball, the bag explodes and plunges Noriko into a fantasy world, exactly like the one she dreamed about.
She finds herself in a forest full of monsters. She is saved by Izark, a man from this world, where they speak a different language. He learns Noriko is the awakening, the one who will awaken the sky demon.
I loved the beautiful art and amazing story from the series by Kyoko Hikawa. If you are a manga lover who wants some exicitment, adventure, and fantasy, you should read this book. It is a wonderful story worth reading.

Bunny Drop By Yumi Unita

Rating: Good (4)

Bunny Drop by Yumi Unita

In a world that is drowning in slice-of-life manga, Bunny Drop by Yumi Unita is a breath of fresh air. It tells the story of 30-year-old Daikichi, who discovers along with the rest of his family that his grandfather had a 5-year-old daughter named Rin. Unfortunately, the family doesn't learn about Rin until the day of "Gramps'"? funeral, at which point the question becomes, "where will she go?"? After watching his family squabble and grumble about how hard it is to raise a child, Daikichi steps up to the plate. He takes Rin home and their lives are changed forever.
I love how realistic this series is; Unita doesn't gloss over any of the problems Daikichi has to face. He has to find a day care, shop for clothes, switch jobs, and change his lifestyle so he can care for Rin, all the while wondering who and where her mother is. Rin is an incredibly sweet girl and it was wonderful watching how she interacted with the world and Daikichi. I'd recommend this volume and series to anyone middle school age on up.

Serenity Rose Working Through The Negitivity by Aaron Alexovich

Rating: Good (4)

I loved Serenity Rose.  It was a really funny, well written, and greatly drawn graphic novel.  It was about a 21 year old local witch amateur painter and noted recluse.  She and her friends do a lot of things in this book.  If you like well written anime books I recommend you read this.

Now, 2 years later, they move to their great grandfather Silas' house, who was an inventor who mysteriously disappeared after his wife died. After some exploring, Emily and Navin stumble upon a beautiful Necklace. That night, everything goes horribly wrong when their mom goes to the basement and doesn't return. They go through a mysterious door only to find that it leads to a new world full of zany creatures. There, Emily meets her great grandfather and learns that she has inherited the interesting stone on her necklace, and that it holds marvelous powers. But will she be able to control it? And will she be able to save this world from the elf people? This is a wonderful graphic novel and is easy to understand.
