This book is the sequel to the popular novel, Unwind. Thanks to the events at the end of Unwind, the medical act of unwinding has now come under the light of morality but now unwinding is not a big business that corporations want to see continue. But now, there is a perhaps far more disturbing process called rewinding that involves creating a human purely from unwound parts. With all the main characters from Unwind plus several new ones, there is a journey that questions the meaning life, souls, and what it means to be truly alive.
Along with Unwind, UnWholly is a must read for anyone.
When Miles Halter leaves his average life to seek a "great perhaps" at Culver Creek Boarding School, he gets a little more than he bargained for. New friends and great adventure await Miles, along with the daring and beautiful, Alaska Young. Alaska shows Miles how to take risks and enjoy his new life while still moving towards a new "great perhaps". I really enjoyed this book and it contained very thought provoking ideas about stepping outside of your comfort zone and making a name for yourself. I would highly recommend.
The Angel Experiment, the first book in the thrilling Maximum Ride series, follows a girl named Max and her family who call themselves "the flock." Max is not a normal 14 year-old by any means. She's 98% hman, 2% aian. She has wings and can fly. So can the rest of her flock. Only four years ago, they escaped the terrifying science laboratory called the School with the help of a whitecoat named Jeb. But now, their past is catching up to them. The youngest of the flock, Angel, is kidnapped by Erasers (human/lupine hybrids-think werewolves). And now, Max and the flock have to fly back to the place of their nightmares-the School to rescue their friend. Filled with humor, sarcasm, action, adventure, mystery suspense, and a lot more, this epic science fiction novel will leave you breathless. Will Angel be rescued? Will Max find the best chocolate chip cookie ever? Will she find (gasp) love? Hey, Max, while you're at it, why don't you find out why you and the flock were made? Or, hey, maybe even save the world? Read this book to find out what happens!
This book gets really interesting really fast. Jenni, the main character, over the summer, goes to a place over the summer and gets to see her friend Autumn and her family. But when Jenni goes on an elevator to see Autumn, something strange happens.
While the older English wording may at first act as a drag to your ability to gobble this wonderful story, by the end you will have been persuaded that it was worth the read. Jane Austen writes of Anne Elliot and Captain Frederick Wentworth. They'd fallen in love when young, but because Anne was persuaded that marrying Frederick would only bring ill to him, she broke the engagement. Eight years pass, and quite suddenly, the monotony of Anne's years without Frederick take a strange twist. Amidst the romance, you also find humor and pain. A marvelous read for anyone brave enough to attempt it.
Kronos, the evil Titan, is quickly becoming more powerful. Percy Jackson and all the other demigods from Camp Half-Blood know that they're hopelessly outnumbered by Kronos' minions. When the prophecy about Percy's sixteenth birthday is revealed, Percy is shocked. He's always known that he would make a choice that would either save Olympus or destroy it, but he never imagined the consequences. Now, he must fight along with all the other demigods to save Olympus, and in the process battle greek monsters, face betrayal from his own friends, blow up a very nasty cruise ship, while the Lord of Time is advancing.
The Last Olympian is packed with humor, action, greek myths, romance, adventure, mystery, and epicness. I could NOT put it down.
Horten's Miraculous Mechanisms: magic, mystery, and a very strange adventure by Lissa Evans

This is a good book for mystery lovers out there! When Stuart and his family move to England over the summer, he is bored. He also gets into some mischief. An excellent book about a boy who finds out stuff from his mysterious uncle.
When Mia's family gets in a horrific car accident, she must face a terribly difficult decision. Does she want to stay or go with her family? This book is certainly one of my favorites. I have read it several times and never seem to get sick of it.
What if you could see your future. What if every little thing you did, caused your future to change. In 1996 Emma and her best friend Josh receive an AOL computer disk but surprisingly Emma is able to log onto her facebook account fifteen years in the future. Each day something changes. What does their future hold?
In Jonas's world everything thing is absolutely perfect. No one faces the challenges of making difficult decisions and everyone has their own assigned responsibilities. No one knows pain or fear except for The Giver. Throughout the story Jonas becomes curious. What if everything was different? This book is definitely hard to put down!
A beastly lord. A beautiful lady made a servant. Throw a slighted bailif into the mix, and you have a marvelous retelling of Beauty and the Beast. "A Merchant's Daughter" holds its own with humorous dialoge, spine-tingling threats, and love that's formed from beauty that is not outward, but inward. Read the book for yourself, and who knows what other lessons you can pull from its script.
"Not the End of the World" is one of the most thought provoking books I have read in the last year. Did Noah really get every kind of animal onto the ark? Did anyone else survive the flood? These questions and more are asked my Noah's daughter Timnah. It cuts to my heart in some places, and other times I want to shout in frusteration at the characters. The author has skillfully created a Noah's ark I had never imagined, but is her's also the correct one? Read this mistifying book that talks about the end of the world, but it turns out that the end of the world might not be as horrible as everyone thinks.
Who doesn't like spending summer at camp? Well, this year will be Anna's first as a counselor in training. Everything seems perfect, until her best, best friend Zoe takes a spill and ends up with a broken arm. Zoe can't come, and now Ana must face the other girls alone, and try not to offend anyone. Or does she have to be liked by all? Things start to change inside Anna because of Isabel. I loved the whole story. I laughed and groaned as Anna experienced camp for the first and proper time. It's a smooth read from beginning to end, and for people who like to see the under-dogs triumph with a bang, this book is for them.
