Lost voices tells an enchanting tale of mermaids. Unlike the normal mermaid tales the only way to get a tail is to be abused by humans and be a female. The main character, Luce is abused by her uncle and left to die, instead she is whisked away to the sea and transformed to a mermaid. The life of a mermaid seems perfect and Luce finally belongs someplace, until she discovers what deadly addiction the mermaids have. Will Luce cave to peer pressure or will she keep her humanity?
