We have had an overwhelming response to our writing workshops for K-3 children. We have a full slate of twelve students registered for the workshops, which will be held for five Thursdays, beginning February 18. If you would like your name added to the waiting list, please call the Children's Library at 715.261.7220.
We are offering these workshops in conjunction with the
PBS Kids Go! Writers Contest for children in Kindergarten through third grade. Lesson plans, writing supplies, and funding for other workshop materials is being supplied by Wisconsin Public Television.
Even if you are not registered for the library's workshops, you can still enter the contest! Check out the contest rules and other information at the

Writers Guide with lots of great advice.
Entries can be submitted at any MCPL library, and we will deliver them to Wisconsin Public Television. Make sure you turn in your entry to the library by 5:00 PM Monday, March 22.
