Director's Report
So ends another beautiful Central Wisconsin summer.

We at the Marathon County Public Library want to wish everyone a safe, warm winter and holiday season. We will continue to offer a wide range of programming for all ages at all of our locations, so be sure to regularly check our website for updates as you continue your journey of lifelong learning.

We are in the process of modernizing our branch locations and updating the collection throughout the organization. If you are looking for items that you do not see available, please let a staff member know so that we can get you what you need. Remember that we have various resources located throughout the county, so usually we can find your materials within few days. You will also see a new electronic catalog being rolled out in January. We hope that everyone will notice that the new system will simplify your use of the catalog.
Lastly, we are in the final stages of installing a large saltwater aquarium with a living reef in the downtown children’s story time room. This beautiful living natural science exhibit will be used to augment programming for children with the goal of inspiring young minds to learn more about the natural world around them. Be sure to check out this amazing display, entirely funded by donations, after its completion early in December.
Enjoy your winter!
