If You Missed It...the MCPL Antiques Roadshow Will Be Back!!
If you couldn't make the What's it Worth? antiques appraisal program held at the Marathon County Public Library Saturday March 10, don't despair. It was such a success that MCPL is planning on making it an annual event!

Almost 100 people took part in the program on March 10th. Marathon County residents brought 67 items in for examination and appraisal by antiques expert Mark Moran. Items included paintings, lamps, tapestries, toys, jewelry, bicycles, place settings, photographs and assorted other treasures. Some participants were pleasantly pleased with suggested values going as high as $1,800.00. Other items - alas! - had 'decorative value' only. All in all, it was a most interesting and educational experience for participants and spectators alike.

In all likelihood, March 2013 will see the Second Annual What's it Worth? program here at Marathon County Public Library. So, mark your calendars now and start rummaging through your attic and closets for potential treasures for Mark to peruse. Come join in the fun!
