Are you a teen? Play music? Enjoy Graphic Design?

The Crawford County Library System will be having their second annual Rock and Read @ Your Library on Tuesday, October 16th during Teen Read Week at the Van Buren Public Library from 6-9 p.m.

MUSICIANS:

We are looking for a few good bands for a Battle of the Bands at our Rock and Read event. Prizes will be:1st place - 10 hours of recording studio time, 2nd place- 5 hours of studio time, 3rd place - 2 hours of studio time. Prizes donated by Hi-Fi Studios in Van Buren.  You will be judged by popular vote, so get your friends to come out and support you!

You do not necessarily have to be "a band". Open to individuals, duos or bands who play their own instruments. Any genre of music.  Bands selected on a first come, first serve basis, so get entries in as early as possible. Rules, Regulations and Entry forms can be found at any of the county's libraries. Deadline for entry is September 28th.

ARTISTS:

We are also looking for artists to design our t-shirts!  Grades 8-12 are eligible to create an original design. Rules, Regulations and Entry forms can be found at the library. Deadline for entry is September 28th.  There will also be a super awesome prize for the winner of this as well, yet to be determined.
