The libraries in the Crawford County Library System will be closed on Monday, February 12th in observance of President's Day and Daisy Gatson Bates Day.
The Mulberry Public Library is currently looking for families in the immediate area that homeschool and are interested in networking with other homeschool families. If a good response is shown, a meeting will be scheduled for parents to discuss what type of activities would be beneficial. Call the Mulberry Public Library at 479-997-1226 for more information.
If you've been to the Van Buren Library recently, you might have noticed something new sitting on the shelves. The library has just received 18 Playaway Digital Audio Books, with plans to add more.
Playaway's are pre-loaded digital audio books. Each palm-sized unit is permanently loaded with one audio book to make listening as simple as pressing a button.
If you like listening to books on the go or at home, these new items will interest you! Come into the library and ask the librarian about our new Playaways!
There will be a public forum where the plans for the new Van Buren Public Library will be presented to the community. Meet the consulting and local architects, ask questions, and give your input. All members of the community are welcome!
The forum will be on Monday, February 5th, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Van Buren High School’s new media center.
