The libraries in the Crawford County Library System will be closed on Monday, September 3rd in observance of Labor Day.  

The Van Buren and Cedarville Libraries will be closed on August 30th until 10:30 a.m. to allow library staff to attend the new Van Buren Library groundbreaking ceremony. Please feel free to join us at this event.

Groundbreaking is at 9:00 a.m. at the future location of the new Van Buren Public Library - 1421 Main Street.

 

You are invited to the public groundbreaking ceremony for the new Van Buren Public Library. Please join Van Buren Library staff, city officials, library board and trustees, building committee and the architect and contractors as we celebrate this opportunity for the Van Buren community and surrounding area!

In need of a good book? or two or twenty? Come down to Dyer and search for treasure during Bargains Galore on 64. The Crawford County Library System is holding their annual Books Galore on 64, Wednesday afternoon through Saturday (Aug. 8-11).  You're sure to find something you want. There will be children's books, large print books, non-fiction, fiction, old books, new books, and even books on tape or cd. These are all discarded library materials or items that have been donated to the library.  All we ask for in return is a donation. The money raised during this sale benefits the children's summer reading program and parties. Look for the signs and tables of books and we hope to see you under the shade in Dyer on 64.
