Games Galore

With the weather getting warm it makes me think of playing games outside or really just games in general.  Listed below is a variety of books on games; old games, new games, games for all ages. Now go outside and play!

The Crawford County Library System currently has several books that were adapted into movies and coming to a theater near you!

CURRENTLY IN THEATERS NOW!

21  based on the book Bringing Down the House: the Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions by Ben Mezrich . When M.I.T. sutdent Kevin Lewis meets classmates Jason Fisher and Andre Martinez, he is intrigued. Although neither seems to have any real responsibilities, they always have plenty of cash. One evening, they tell Kevin why. Using card-tracking calculations, they have devised a way to beat blackjack. Once he learns the system, Kevin joins Jason and Andre at the casinos. There to the growing dismay of gambling kingpins, they make a fortune--all perfectly legal. This movie stars Jim Sturgess and Kevin Spacey.

Nim's Island by Wendy Orr. Nim loves her island home and the animals she shares it with even while her scientist father is away doing research, but trouble is on the way and a new e-mail friend could be the only one who can help. This movie stars Abigail Breslin, Jodie Foster and Gerard Butler.

Alma Public Library - Juvenile Fiction -  J ORR

The Ruins by Scott Smith. In Cancún, Mexico, for a peaceful vacation, a group of tourists sets off in search of one of their group who disappeared during an excursion to some nearby Mayan ruins, only to come face to face with an insidious evil that threatens their lives. This movie starts Jonathan Tucker and Jena Malone.
