Youth can Reach for the Stars with Usborne Books extra reading challenge, July 11-July 28!

Read just 300 minutes by July 28th to earn FREE Usborne Books AND Help the Library Earn Free Books!

Pick up your packet in the Children's Library today!

Students read 300 minutes by July 28th (listeners welcome, too).  Then they record their minutes in the special log provided.  Next, ask friends and family to sponsor them for their super reading and record pledges in the special page on their log.  Kids will get to spend 50% o their pledge money to get FREE books from the USBORNE Book Fair to be held at the library on July 27-28.  They will also get to help their library, because the other 50% of their sponsorship money will go directly to the Children's Library!

Bring your family for a great evening of fun!  The Children's Library will be offering a fun-filled PJ story time at 6:30 PM on Monday, July 9.

Also on Monday, July 9, starting at 7 PM, is the wonderful Jazz Night Out sponsored by our Friends of the Library group, that will feature local favorite, Mr. Alan Mosely for an evening of live music, food, and fun for all ages!

On Wednesday, July 11 at 10 AM , magician Bruce Amato will be at the library for a show full of magical fun for kids of all ages.

For Teens, the library will be holding a CREATURE LOCK-IN on Saturday, July 14 from 6 PM to Midnight.  Teens are encouraged to come in costume for an evening of fun including Zombie dancing, Monster movies, crafting, glow-in-the-dark activities, and much more!  The evening will feature an AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MONSTER CONTEST!  Registration is required for this event, please call (931) 375-6506 to sign-up.
