Larry A. Walker to discuss book

Drawing upon his own experiences as a minister, Army chaplain, artist and caregiver, Dr. Larry A. Walker has penned his first book, an inspirational novel titled “Courage to Return.”

Walker will be remembered in Columbia as a former bereavement chaplain for Hospice of Highland Rim (now Hospice Compassus), where he served for two years.

Walker will return to Columbia to discuss his debut novel Thursday, Sept. 20. The book signing will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Maury County Public Library.

“Courage to Return” depicts a man caught in the whirlwind of guilt and loneliness, yet he finds grace and a new start for his life. The twists and turns along his journey toward courage is a thrilling adventure of love.
