Start a new tradition 2008.....read the book before you go see the movie with your family. - The Golden Compass (presently playing at local theaters) is the first novel in the His Dark Materials trilogy by British novelist Phillip Pullman.
- The Spiderwick Chronicles (movie coming Feb 15, 2008) is an amazing series of illustrated children's fantasy books written by Holly Black and illustrated by Tony DiTerlizzi.

- Horton Hears A Who (movie coming March 14, 2008 ) by Dr. Seuss. One day, Horton the elephant hears a cry for help coming from a speck of dust.
