Parents Helping Parents: Great Ideas for Family Fun

Thank you to our Blake Library parents who helped create this fabulous list of inexpensive, local spots for family fun! Although we verified information where possible, please contact these sites directly for accurate prices, locations, and age limitations.

Library and Exploration Lab:  Check out your local library branch!  An indoor retreat where kids can attend free programs, storytimes, or just sit and enjoy a great book.  Enjoy our fabulous teen programs as well!  Check out the Exploration Lab at the Blake Library in Stuart - It's a playroom filled with educational toys, books, and videos - a great spot to avoid the heat or rain! Call ahead as the room is closed during programs.  Free   Ages: infant-teen

Bathtub Beach:  The beach itself is protected by Bathtub Reef, making this an excellent spot for children to swim and snorkel.     Free

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary: A non-profit educational care facility for injured animals.  Children can observe native Florida wildlife, endangered species, and animal feedings.   Free.   Jupiter, FL

Calypso Bay Water Park: Part of the Palm Beach County Parks and Rec. Department.  Royal Palm Beach, FL. Suggested: 2 years    Adults: $10  3-11years: $8  1-2years: $3
